As followers of Jesus, we believe that we are stewards of God’s resources because He is the provider of all that we have. We don’t give out of routine or religious duty, but instead we give joyfully a portion of what God has provided us in the first place. Throughout Scripture we’re reminded that giving is an act of worship that should be done in the right spirit.
You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. “For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.” 2 Corinthians 9:7
We strongly suggest that a credit card not be used unless it is paid off every month. The Bible speaks in Proverbs 22:7 about “…the borrower [being] servant to the lender.” We do not desire for anyone to go into debt by tithing on a credit card.
